In response to what he recognized as a growing need to protect the rights of employees and people with disabilities in Florida, Mr. Yormak founded Yormak Employment & Disability Law. Mr. Yormak has always been committed to fighting for your rights and disability benefits. He only represents employees and people that have been wrongly terminated, been discriminated against or denied benefits; he never represents employers, the insurance company or government.
Mr. Yormak is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the Supreme Court of Florida and the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, National Employment Lawyers Association, the Florida Employment Lawyers Association, and the Lee County Bar Association. Mr. Yormak is a graduate of the University of Maine School of Law and Bowdoin College, and is a resident of Southwest Florida. He is also actively involved in the community and youth sports.
Pro-Bono Information- Mr. Yormak is a strong supporter of pro bono and other volunteer efforts within the legal industry that seek justice for the disadvantaged. Mr. Yormak's own recent pro bono efforts include work for Florida Rural Legal Services and Collier Legal Aid, in addition to working to free wrongly convicted persons with AIDWYC, a volunteer group founded by Rubin "Hurricane" Carter. Mr. Yormak previously worked with the United States Department of Justice and the Maine Volunteer Lawyer Project, and while in law school received the Pro Bono Service Award.
